We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, set up your family, and use FamilyHQ features. This includes names, email addresses, calendar events, grocery lists, meal plans, chores, and budget information that you and your family members enter into the app.
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve FamilyHQ. This includes generating your AI Daily Family Briefings (which are processed and not stored by third-party AI providers), sending transactional emails such as family invitations, and managing your subscription billing through our payment provider.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate FamilyHQ (such as payment processors and email delivery services), and only to the extent required to provide those services. We may disclose information if required by law.
FamilyHQ is designed to be used by families including children. Children's accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian (Co-Admin). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children independently — all child data is entered and controlled by the family's Co-Admin.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your family's data will be removed within 30 days.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at privacy@familyhq.app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice within the app.
